A journey inside our Rescue Center.

1
Intake

Every story begins with an emergency. Animals arrive injured, disoriented, or as victims of illegal trafficking. Here, they receive immediate care, stabilization, and an initial diagnosis that allows us to understand their condition and begin their recovery process.

2
Rehabilitation

The physical and behavioral recovery process begins. Through veterinary care, proper nutrition, and controlled environments, we work to help each animal regain its strength, instincts, and ability to survive on its own.

3
Evaluation

Every case is different and requires detailed analysis. At this stage, we evaluate their health, behavior, and skills, ensuring the animal is truly prepared to safely face life in the wild.

4
Release

This is the moment we’ve been waiting for. When an animal is ready, we release it into an environment suitable for its species, where it can survive and thrive. It is the result of months of hard work, dedication, and commitment to its life.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if I find an injured wild animal?

+

If you find an injured wild animal, avoid handling it to ensure your own safety and prevent worsening its condition. Contact your local environmental authorities or our team immediately, as they have the proper training to assist the animal safely.

Can I visit the James Brown rescue center?

+

No. Our James Brown Rescue Center does not operate as a zoo or a tourist attraction. We seek to avoid unnecessary contact between rescued species and humans, thereby ensuring their well-being and supporting their rehabilitation processes.

What kind of donations can I make?

+

You can make financial donations or in-kind donations. The most useful in-kind donations include: medical supplies, construction materials, and medical equipment. These contributions allow us to strengthen the care and recovery of rescued animals.

How do I sign up to volunteer?

+

To apply as a volunteer at our Rescue Center, please keep the following in mind:
Volunteer duration: National: minimum 3 months, maximum 12 months; international: 6 months.
Required profile: Students or graduates of Veterinary Medicine. We also accept volunteers from biology-related fields. If you have a different background and are interested in volunteering, contact us.
Required documentation: Academic profile, transcripts, or professional degree.
Important requirement: You must confirm that you do not have a phobia of wild animals.
Accommodation: We have the capacity to host up to 4 volunteers at a time.
Expenses: Each volunteer must cover their own food expenses. If you meet the requirements and wish to contribute to the well-being of wildlife, you can begin your application process.

What is the difference between sponsorship and donations?

+

Sponsorship involves providing monthly financial support for an animal at the center that, due to its condition, cannot be released and must remain in our care. This contribution becomes an ongoing commitment to their well-being. Donations, on the other hand, are one-time contributions that can be monetary or in-kind. They do not require a monthly commitment.

In memory

We dedicate this space to James Brown Sweeney, visionary and founder of our wildlife rescue center in 2020.

His deep love for nature and tireless commitment to protecting the most vulnerable animals created a place where every life has value and every species deserves a second chance.
